PhD Title: Hydrogen Storage in Depleted Subsurface Reservoirs

Sam specialises in underground hydrogen storage in porous media (UHSP). He works on a range of projects aimed at quantifying the mixing between hydrogen gas and cushion gas mixtures. His work includes conducting core-flooding experiments and utilising novel magnetic resonance techniques, such as benchtop NMR. Through his research, Sam aims to contribute to the development of sustainable energy storage solutions that can help address the world’s energy challenges.

Sam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and graduated in the top 5% with first-class honours from Edith Cowan University (ECU).
