PhD Title: Innovative Sensing Technology for Hydrogen Sensing using Nanomaterials and Ultra-High Radio Frequency

Lachlan is pursuing a PhD at Swinburne University of Technology, focusing on developing UHF-RFID sensors integrated with advanced nanomaterials to enhance the safe storage and transit of hydrogen gas. With a background as a Research Assistant, where he successfully built a portable hydrogen sensing prototype, and as a Clinical Engineer at Monash Health ensuring the safety of medical equipment, Lachlan is excited by the opportunity to tackle the challenges of hydrogen sensing. His research aims to create a cost-effective, safe, and reliable solution for hydrogen detection, facilitating the transition to a greener. more sustainable future.

Lachlan completed his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) at Swinburne University in 2023 and is driven to contribute to the advancement of hydrogen technologies, aligning with global efforts to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and improve energy storage systems.
