PhD Title: Additively Manufactured Composites for Mitigation of Hydrogen Leakage under Transport and Storage Applications
Lam is currently undertaking a PhD at Swinburne University of Technology. His research focuses on the development of additively manufactured composite structures for mitigating hydrogen leakage in storage and transport applications. Particular emphasis is placed on investigating how advanced manufacturing techniques, composite material systems, and defect-control strategies can be utilised to improve hydrogen containment, structural integrity, and system-level energy density. Through this research, Lam aims to contribute to the development of safer, lighter, and more efficient hydrogen storage technologies for future clean energy infrastructure.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), majoring in Mechanical Engineering, from Swinburne University of Technology. His academic background includes mechanical design, polymer and composite materials, manufacturing process development, and the performance evaluation of engineering materials and structures.
