PhD Title: Utilising Sodium Borohydride for Hydrogen Export
Bashir Adegbemiga Yusuf is a PhD researcher at Curtin University working in the Hydrogen Storage Research Group under the supervision of Professor Craig Buckley and collaborators. His research focuses on electrochemical hydride generation, transition-metal hydride chemistry, and borohydride regeneration technologies for hydrogen storage and sustainable energy applications.
Bashir obtained his PhD in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from Jiangsu University, China, where his research centred on electrocatalysts for water splitting, hydrogen evolution, oxygen evolution, and carbon dioxide reduction. His current work investigates electrochemical pathways for hydride transfer and hydrogen carrier systems aimed at advancing next-generation hydrogen technologies.
He has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications and has extensive experience in electrochemistry, electrocatalysis, renewable energy materials, and hydrogen-related research.
