Recognising outstanding achievements in STEM

August 5, 2021

FEnEx CRC CEO and Chevron Chair in Gas Process Engineering at UWA, Professor Eric May, has been announced as a 2021 WA Scientist of the Year finalist, recognising his achievements in STEM. The Energy Industry’s investments and long-term commitment to future generations has enabled Professor May to have the impact needed to be a WA Science Award finalist. “The effect of such investments is always cumulative as one success leads to many others. This occurs mostly by the attraction of high-quality people to join in, build even more capacity, and deliver increasingly impressive outcomes. One of the most important outcomes has been the large numbers of Bachelors, Masters and PhD graduates produced across a range of STEM disciplines who are now becoming industry leaders.”
