PhD title: Highly sensitive and selective hydrogen gas sensors employing photoactivated hybrid nanomaterials
Thilini Thathsara obtained her Bachelor’s Science and Master’s of Philosophy degrees in Chemistry from the University of Ruhuna and the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, respectively. Before starting her PhD at Swinburne University of Technology (SUT), she worked as an Analytical Chemist attached to the Division of Polymer and Chemical Engineering Technology, Institute of Technology University of Moratuwa. Her research aims to develop highly efficient hydrogen sensors which are portable, and reliable in operating at room or low temperatures (i.e., low power consumption) employing photoactivated hybrid nanomaterials.
