PhD Title: Sodium hydrides as chemical precursor for the conversion of carbon dioxide to methane
Bithiah is a recent Curtin University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Her research covers the modification of existing gas pipeline facilities to hydrogen storage solutions and the use of metal hydrides in carbon dioxide conversion into methane. Her work will help to improve the green energy rating of hydrogen fuel by recycling ‘spent’ metal hydrides through low cost and low energy means, reduce the carbon footprint of other energy carriers through carbon conversion and provide a quick and cost-effective alternative to hydrogen storage.
